My project was running fine in UE 4.12.5 as a package. I updated to 4.13.1 and it crashes right after it loads the maps. There is no crash reporter showing, just the message saying “Unreal Engine has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
Could you please provide the logs from the Saved->Logs folder after the crash occurs?
Is this occurring if you package and run a clean project?
It doesnt happen on a clean project. Here is the log file, however I dont think it will help :’(
Here is one more log i found.
I fixed the blueprint in the error shown in the last log, yet the game still crashes. When i packaged in shipping configuration the game doesnt crash. Any thoughts? The new crash log is this one
I’m seeing this error in your logs: LogD3D11RHI: Timed out while waiting for GPU to catch up.
This is usually related to an issue with a graphics card. Could you please do me a favor and provide your dxdiag as well as ensuring that your graphics card drivers are fully up-to-date?
I am marking this topic as resolved for tracking purposes, as we have not heard from you in a few days. If this issue persists, feel free to respond to this thread. For any new issues, please create a new Answerhub topic.
Have a great day
Sorry the issue has not be resolved. I still can’t run the game in development mode packaged version
I’ve looked into the issue, and I have a couple of suggestions for you:
- Update your drivers to the latest, as it looks like you’re a couple versions behind based on what I see in your dxdiag.
- Ensure that your graphics card is secured in your PC, meaning that all plugs are firmly connected and there is no dust buildup.
Let me know if either of those help, otherwise I will continue to investigate and provide some additional suggestions.
It seemed like there was a problem with the developer version of the package. I just switched to shipping that worked fine
