Hello! I’ve been working on a project for almost a year now, and now I’ve been trying to package the game for a “short/demo version” of the game for about half a month now on and off. And I’m about to lose my mind here, I’ve spent countless of hours on this. Every time I get rid of most errors new ones just popup. I’m really in need of some help here, I’ve gone through so many google searches, constant looking for answers. I’ve managed to get rid of so many problems, but still I can’t package the game… link text
I just looked at your LOG file, it seems to be a file located in your project with more than 256 characters, for example:
-23 characters bigger than the processId version (…/…/…/…/…/…/Users/Isac/Documents/ALCopy2/ALCopy/AmberLakeCabin/Intermediate/Shaders/WorkingDirectory/3744/)
Check also if you can find a file called none, (press F3 in your project and look uo for that word with windows explorer)
You can also try to disable any plug in you are already not using (but for some testing maybe you enabled some months ago).
Finally, for last option, copy your folder into a new windows user account, and try to package it over there (there are some defaults options from UE that can help your process being succesfull).
Any feedback you get after this, please let me to know
Hello, thank you for helping out! I just went over the first problem you found and shortened the name of the folders so it shouldn’t be too long now.
I tried searching inside my folder for “none” this is the result →
So no file called “none”
I don’t have any plug ins at all, and regarding copying the folder, I have tried this from my external hard drive and both of my PC’s, so don’t think that would work?
Here’s the cook I got after I shortened the folder names at least. [link text][2]
