I have searched everywhere and there are plenty of references to using P4 with Epic/Unreal but no place does it give the URL of the P4 server… am I blind? Sorry for such a basic question. It says I should be able to find it in the welcome e-mail, but I don’t see it there either. I’ve been able to download the source from Git, but we don’t use Git. So I’d rather set this up correctly in P4. Thanks!
Your P4 Server URL should consist of the IP address and the port that the Perforce server p4d
is running on.
i.e. IP Address:Port
For IP address, it can be checked from your server. If you’re deploying on your own machine, make sure you’ve configured a static IP address.
For Port, By default, the port is 1666
.
If you’re running the server on-premises, the port number is the one you manually specified when starting the p4d
service. You can check that by use some Process Monitor Tool like htop.

Hello,
Unreal Editor has built-in integration with a Peforce server. Peforce is a server-hosted software that allows for revision control of files, but is not hosted or controlled by Epic. It is a third-party software that developers need to host themselves on the developers’ servers.
Also note, this area of Forums is for Unreal Editor for Fortnite or UEFN, and if I am reading your post right, you are using Unreal Editor 5 and not UEFN. If that is the case, then the following forums will provide more answers and aid.
