Overlapping Static Meshes Cause Random Impulses

does anyone have an idea to fix this? I have a procedurally generated world with platforms, and the player is a physics based ball. Every time the ball goes from “chunk” to “chunk”, it gets a HUGE impulse upwards and flies up. If anyone has any ideas. It’ll be hugely appreciated

from wireframe it seems that the islands are overlapping, and that may be an issue. However I have tried with it exactly lined up, and it still gives a huge impulse.
