Although I will have ray tracing enabled in a Cinematic I am creating a quick search suggests using a Planar Reflection object for realistic dynamic mirrors.
However, how does this work if you need a oval mirror? Is there some way of masking the Planar Reflection object or?

I can’t speak about ray tracing but the way planar reflection works is:
It’s a reflection capture the same way as the sphere or the box one! Not the plane will reflect but your reflective materials->meshes in the area of your reflection plane! You resize the plane width and height according to your mesh (if it’s oval then to it’s wider/highest edges)!
