I have an animation sequence of a bow-and-arrow, but when I connect this sequence directly to the output pose the pose is all screwed up. I had to adjust the original sequence with key frames to rotate the arm out of the body, and it’s almost like the output pose doesn’t adhere to the adjust animation. Anyone know what I’m missing?

Looks like bad retargeting.
No way to say without having the files.
You can pick and retarget some of the paragon characters.
At least one of them has a bow.
Other than that are sure you don’t have any aim offset or IK moving your limbs around…
That’s exactly where I got the bow and arrow pose from - ParagonSparrow. I retargeted her skeleton to humanoid; then retargeted her idle pose to the mannequin humanoid. It was a little off so I adjusted the pose; but no matter what I did the right hand ends up inside the body.
I have no idea what these curves do; but they were carried in from ParagoneSparrow Idle animation. Once I deleted them it finally started to work.
Suff for movement you can delete.
I would assume the retargeting went wrong based on where the hands ended up…
