I followed this tutorial on adding outlines to objects, and I ended up with a good result, except I can see the object through walls. Im a beginner to materials, can anyone help? I would only like to see the outline when that part of the object is visible.
I figured it out. Used the fresnel node instead.

Just out of interest, how does a fresnel help?
A fresnel kind of adds a glow to the outside of an object, except it acts like any other material in which it only shows when the player can see it. It might be used to highlight objects, while the outline I had set up directly pointed out where the object was, even through walls.
Ah, I thought you meant you used a fresnel node in the post process ![]()
