Outline interactive mesh (doors, pick up items, etc.) on cursor over

Hey guys and gals,

I am new to UE4, been doing this for couple of months trying to learn and build a portfolio of projects.

I am currently trying to add outline/highlight feature to my doors when player has cursor over the door.
After long searches on forums and youtube all solutions I have found are really complicated and … well… old.

I was wondering if there is an up-to-date, easy and quick way to add this seemingly easy feature that almost every game has.
I know I can get the ready solution from the Epic store market, but I would like to do it myself to learn.

If you could kindly point me towards the right tutorial or describe the process here, I would be very grateful.

You need to make outline postprocesses shader. I do not think materials changed that much in last few years.
