I had the same issue with a font called Kids Magazine. I couldn’t use Birdfont to reexport the font because of license issues. I achieved to make this work with 0 knowledge in font editor so if you’re like me and you just want your things working here’s how I did it :
- Download + Install FontForge
- Import the font
- Double click on the character with the issue to open the editor
- CTRL + A to select all the points
- CTRL + SHIFT + X to do a command. You can find it under Element too. In French it’s called “Ajouter des extréma”
- Repeat for each character with an issue
- Generate your font (CTRL + SHIFT + G)
- Import the new generated font in UE and enjoy
