OSX non-metal/OpenGL issue fix?

I’m trying to get UE running on High Sierra, but getting the metal/OpenGL compatibility error. It’s an MBP 2011, but SSD and lots of memory (really don’t want to get a new computer because of the port issues right now).

​​​​​​​I was thinking about downloading an earlier version of UE, but maybe that won’t work? Please help! (BTW, I’m not trying to run anything to complex – making a simple game and would rather be running on a Mac than Windows). THANKS!

Since it’s from 2011 it probably doesn’t support your GPU

Thanks for your response. :frowning: I know it’s a stretch, but hopeful someone else has a potential solution out there? I don’t mind rolling back to an earlier version at all of UE. Don’t want to roll back my OSX though. yikes.

I’ve heard someone has an MBP 2011 running UE in windows (dual boot). Any suggestions about that?

Do any MacBook Pros work for UE? 2014, 2015, 2017?
