Hello,
Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong at creating Ortho Projection? I have reconstruction region, and then when I click on the Ortho Projection button at Tools section I don’t have Ortho projection widget at the 3d view, nor Ortho projection Panel at the 1Ds view.
I had this problem before, and it disappeared by itself (at least I think so).
Thanks,
Best regards
Hi Zlatan Novak
What version of RC are you using ?
In the upper-right corner there is a small blue icon, click there and you will see the RC build version…
Can you contact me at milos.lukac@capturingreality.com, as I want to set up a remote session to check this out on your PC?
This is weird. Even clicking more times on the Ortho Projection button is not working?
OK, solved
We need to reproduce it here anyway…
Pressing and holding SHIFT and then running RC have reset all settings to their default values and it has started to work…
Just wanted to note that this bug is still going on; after pressing Shift on launch I finally got my Ortho tools in the upper bar menu. A bit frustrating as I had spent a long while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
As a beginner - Ortho allows us to do what exactly? Make sure that a surface of an object is rendered from a certain viewpoint?
I have a number of paintings I want crystal clear - since I took about a 1.5k pictures of the room in my scan on old hardware, and in the rendered scene the paintings are fuzzy. I retook some clear pictures a few weeks later and am trying to clear them up.
RC is crashing consistently sans any reporting (I started another thread where I’m just talking to myself, given the holidays) with my big project when I try to re-texture using other UVs. So going in to ‘replace’ the paintings with my pictures in the texture files is like trying to find a hundred needles in a zillion heystacks.
Would ortho projects let RC’s UVs texture in a different way so I can get that full picture to redo in photoshop?
