Hi, I’ve just gotten the ball rolling on setting up Megabit Publishing to sell games via the Epic Store, but I wanted to check that I’m going about it the right way.
We now have an Organization setup under the legal entity of our parent company (Aonic AB, based in Sweden), but would want our public profile in the store to be under our UK-based trading name, Megabit Publishing.
Have I done that wrong, is there a way to have a different public name from our legal name and if not can our Organization name be updated, and if so would that cause problems when submitting all the legal bits (for tax etc.)?
I would recommend editing your organization to fit how you would like it to be displayed on the store. You can edit your organization, if you are the organization owner in your dev portal. As seen below.
Thank you for getting back to me and my apologies! That looked like it was not editable when I checked maybe I was looking the wrong place.
I assume it won’t be a problem if any agreements or other company info (like financials/tax) are registered under the parent company name?
Oh and is there likely to be any knock-on or issues between us being UK based, but the parent company (and so our Organization in here) being in Sweden?
Just trying to figure out which configuration makes the most sense to cover all bases!
