Optimum Image Resolution when using PPI

Hi Guys,

the new PPI system is great in many ways, but does seem to be costing me more money overall.  I read in the docs that you can save money by downscaling high resolution images as inputs.

My question is:  What is a reasonable resolution to downscale the images to in order to save money?

I tried downscaling to 4000px on the longest edge and 80% quality, but the export cost didn’t seem to reduce much compared to using the full res originals.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks

Hello dear user.
I recommend you to test the downscaling, based on your images resolution and how well you frame your subject. After reducing it, check your picture at 100% and just by looking at it, you can tell if the features/tiny detail is getting lost. Although keep in mind you should not touch the inputs after they are in RC. Doing so will replace the input and therefore will need to be licensed again.

Thanks for the reply Erik, ok cool I will do some tests.
