Optimizing my first photogrammetry asset

Hi.

I have been doing a few photogrammetry test runs the last couple of years. Now I want to try to sell some of them on fab as 3d assets. But, I quickly realize what a complete newbie I am to delivering 3d models in general.

Here are a couple of screenshots of the scan that I am currently working on:

I’ve been using RealityScan for all of my work this far and I have a few questions on how to proceed:

1. How do you figure out a good target triangle count when working with photogrammetry assets for sale? The model I have here is made up of about 36 million triangles (after cleaning). How do I figure out what a good “simplification” triangle target for the model should be? Would delivering multiple versions of the model with varying amounts of triangles help me sell more?

2. Textures: What is an optimized way of delivering textures for fab 3d models? I assume it depends on the size/scale of the model, but is there a simple logical way I can figure out what settings to apply to a scan like this one? In general I guess I need to figure out how many textures and at what resolution they should be delivered in?

I’ve done a bit of searching for the above, but I cannot seem to find any definitive guide or best practices here. Maybe I just need to do some 3d modelling courses or something to get more of an understanding of the basics? Or maybe I just need to search more?
