Since 4.24 we don’t have the possibility of using SE2.0 on Android for development and evolution reasons, but the truth is that they greatly reduce the number of compatible devices on Google Play (almost 90%). amrv7 apps must be exclusive to SE3.1 onwards and out of 10,000 devices compatible with SE2.0, we are left with just 1,000 (between amrv7 and arm64).
Another problem: since July 2021, all apps must be uploaded in AAB format, for apps before that date they can still use apk+obb, so one of my lucky clients has almost 10,000 devices compatible with his app on Google Play. You can’t downgrade to use SE2.0, because they don’t have the AAB packaging feature, so we’re left without 90% of midrange devices.
