This is in a non world partition level using baked lighting. The project is made of only 1 persistent level that is always loaded. I am trying to use the Approximate simplification method. If I use merged, the Hlods will show up correctly. So it’s something with Approximate. If I try simplify, UE5 crashes 100% of the time no matter what the settings.
I can set up the Hlod’s OK. I am using volume based generation only. I can generate clusters OK. I can generate the Hlods OK. But no matter what I do, I will only see 1 Hlod working in the level at any time. All other Hlods will be invisible. I will see my high res actors disappear when they swap to the Hlod, but no hlod will be there, except for 1 and only 1 seemingly randomly.
I have tried between 2-5 clusters, and again, only one of the 5 clusters will ever show the generated Hlod. All others will hide my high res assets and show nothing where the Hlod should be.
I started in 5.4. Then moved to 5.5, then 5.6 then 5.7 preview with the same result in all 4 versions.
Has anyone seen this issue? I am about to give up on the system entirely.
