One for the Developers - Engram Inventory Limitations

I was wondering what the current Engram Inventory limitation is. I seem to have hit it. My current mod had more than 20 or so extra engrams that fell into the standard “backpack” crafting list. around 10 would ‘disappear’ from this list.

Adding those to the inventory of another item made them work (like the Anvil or Fabricator).

So I was just wondering what the limitations are, so I know how many I can use - if any. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think there’s a limit, or if there is, it’s rather high.

I have, I think, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 30-40 engrams added to the base game from two or three mods alone that I have installed… so can’t see that being the issue.

Just to be clear, your engrams are all added to the Additional Engram array and are all set to give to the player inventory?

Maybe there is a limit for one mod. As you were talking about multiple mods, but OP was talking about one single mod.

I personally don’t have this issue yet, but I do have few mods that might soon hit this limit if such thing exists.

I know of mods with 50+ engrams, I do not think there is a mod limitation either. You can easily test it yourself… just duplicate a random engram entry 20-30 times, add them all to the additional array and check if they load.

Ok. My mod is well over 60-80 engrams. THAT’s not the problem. it’s how many can I place into the BASIC inventory crafting before I must put the rest into the ‘craft-able inventories’ of other items?

I had to place a large quantity into crafting tables because they kept disappearing from the main inventory crafting list. But I think the users are now use to that and have since moved on.

Still would like to know that number so I can put it into my knowledge base.
