Official word on for UE4 subscribers

The modeler will be for UE4 subscribers for another $19/month But I wondering if the modeler will be realesed this week UE4 4.3 preview-realese.

for UE 4.3 was released this morning! They specifically said they’d like to keep it on the down-low until 4.3 is out, but I figure you guys are included in that. I bought it this morning, banged out three amazing trees in minutes and giggled all the way to work.

Moments ago, in response to many requests for an early release, we added a preview version of the Modeler for UE4 Subscription to our online store, at:

You will find a product description and features list at that link, but here are a few of the most important details:

· There is one licensing option available now: $19 USD for one month’s use of the Modeler for UE4 Subscription (no additional royalties, platform or game release fees). This fee automatically renews unless you cancel your subscription.

· Until UE4.3 is released (Epic expects to release this version in July 2014), nothing created with the Modeler will work in UE4, so you will be licensing this tool at your own risk. IDV has no control over the release of UE4.3.

· The Modeler will cease to operate when you cancel your subscription, but any trees you create in the Modeler will function properly in UE4.3 once Epic releases that version. Your trees and plants will not expire.

· Trees and plants cannot be exported as meshes or used in any other engine, rendering system or modeling toolset.

· When for UE4 Subscription is officially released, you’ll be able to purchase UE4-specific models by following the link from the Modeler app. Please do not purchase the v7 or v6 models we currently have on the Store. They will probably not work well with the UE4.3 engine without modification.

If I may ask, how does texture mapping work in the system? Are you using custom textures or does it have some default resources?

From what I’ve seen so far you can 100% do everything to make a freakin’ awesome tree with the included assets. Custom textures would certainly have their place and you can load them in, but you don’t have to.

Yep, you can. As far as I can tell the new contains everything and more than all other competing softwares out there. I’ve tried everything from the old UDK version of , Tree[D], TreeIT, a bunch of plugins for various 3d packages and Forester, and while Forester used to be the best alternative when you want good looking lowpoly trees, the new blows all the other ones out of the water. It contains everything you’d want and more.
