I am more concerned about a reasonable cost for indie teams with out a budget till release.
As am I. I know it is my fault for not doing enough research, but yesterday I had purchased Studio v7. The results and ease of use of the program is wonderful. However, it says on the license agreement that it can’t be used for games. I hope I didn’t just waste $895 on a program that we can’t actually use.

Hi joesys – thanks for the kind words about our app, but I’m afraid you jumped the gun on us a bit when you purchased Studio 7 for UE4 development. We have a new product coming, hopefully with the 4.3 release of UE4, that’s specifically designed to work with the -to-UE4 pipeline we put together with Epic.
We’ve been graciously invited to join the June 19th Twitch broadcast at which time we’ll share the details of our offering for UE4 subscribers. Suffice it to say, I think you’ll find it far more attractive financially than your Studio 7 license, not to mention there will be no EULA restrictions concerning game development.
If you like, please contact @.com to initiate a refund and we’ll get you squared away pronto.
for 4?
this is cool…
will we be able to paint within UE vegetation?
Cryengine has a lot of stuff regarding vegetation, I would like to see the same tools and library in UE 4.
regards
I can’t wait. You guys even called my work phone to let me know I was already on the email list. Sorry but I had a total Nerd Gasam when you guys called. The old skater surfer came out in me and I started saying “dude”- heh. Sorry about that. After all these years I still get that way over software companies. What are the rules for releasing a commercial product with assets made in speed tree for the UE4? I know the 5% applied to the Engine.
We need it precious…
We’re still planning to disclose the major details of our UE4 Subscription offering on the 6/19 Twitch broadcast, but we’ve got a page in place for you guys now. It’ll include all the details sometime after the broadcast.

Two more days!
This is exactly what I’ve been doing for a couple weeks now - counting down the days.
Just a few more hours now
Sorry I’m having trouble determining the exact costs from all the announcements.
Is it just 20$ per month for the modeller or is it 20$ a month just for integration and then a further 20$ a month for the modeller?
20 dollars a month for the modeler, speed tree support will be in the engine by 4.3

Ah thanks for that
Will you be releasing a couple of free trees for testing like you did with UDK? I’d love to see how they perform in large quantities.
I’m not guy, but they said there will be some free trees.
And I think they will release them with level at UE4 Marketplace!
We’ve had a lot of interest in the preview version of the Modeler for UE4 Subscribers, especially questions about when it will be available. If you’d like an answer in fairly short order, please write us at @.com. If you’ve already written, hang tight! We appreciate your patience.
Please note that anyone without a 4.3 UE4 build is out of luck in getting their models to import.
When for UE4 Subscription is officially released, you’ll be able to purchase UE4-specific models. Please do not purchase the “v7” or “v6” tree models we currently have on the Store, these are for animation/vfx users. They will not load in UE4 and even with a Modeler subscription, they will probably not work well in UE4.3 without modification. The UE4 models are packed with features for UE4 users and will hopefully be worth the wait.
Best,
Willl Modeler be included in the preview-release of Engine 4 this week?
It’s a separate, standalone program. As such, I’ll assume the answer is no.
I think he might have meant support for , since it’s supposed to be included in 4.3.
The modeler will be for UE4 subscribers for another $19/month But I wondering if the modeler will be realesed this week UE4 4.3 preview-realese.
