See the short movie at artstation here: Office space
This is my first movie made with Unreal Engine. I have worked with 3D in a traditional sense, but working in real-time has really blown my mind. I love the instant feedback. No more overnight renders just to see that some settings was dialed wrong.
I’m looking forward to learn more, to become a better storyteller with Unreal Engine.
Thanks to all people who creates tutorials for UE. Your knowledge is so valuable, thank you for sharing it with the community.
I would love some feedback on my short movie

Greetings @Tor_Martin_N !
We welcome you to the Unreal Engine community with open virtual arms!
I immensely enjoyed watching your short! The assets are crisp and the lighting is amazing for the environment. The fluidity of the spacecraft and the reflections upon its surface are impeccable. The camera movements are purposeful and the cinematography make it difficult to fathom that this is your first movie with UE!
The soundtrack was sinister, yet curious. We’re taken for a ride convinced the UFO is on a mission of destruction (Destroy us all! Destroy us all!). However, we’re in store for an unforeseen surprise in the end, showing us that the nature of man can be understood even if a being is not from this world. There are many ways to interpret this, as a story is unfolding and can be successfully told without the need for dialog.
I adored the imaginative sound effects at the end credits! You’ve done a mind-blowingly remarkable job with storytelling, lighting, effects, and cinematics! Kudos to you! This should be the opening short film to a Pixar movie!
What was the most challenging part of development for you, and what was the most rewarding?

Wow, thank you for your nice comments, it truly made my day!
You are more articulate about my film than I ever will be able to be
The most challenging part was just getting into the trench and learning all the basic skills you need to do a project in Unreal Engine. I started out by wanting to make a game and spent a decent amount of my time on that. But it ended up way too ambitious and complex for a first project. I needed something small and more concrete for my first project. So the most challenging part was to scope out the right project; not too big and not too small. A short movie was the perfect fit.
The most rewarding was the first render after combining all the assets in the scene. Just the feeling when everything just clicks and you get this satisfaction of making something that actually looks kinda decent
I have never been able to produce such images when working traditionally with 3D. The lighting with Lumen is just fantastic to play around with.
