Oculus Quest

Hi. Sorry I have asked this before but firstly how do I see the posts I have made in this forum? There is nothing under my profile or anything so I cannot check.

I have a quest 2. How (And please be explicit) do I use twin motion in it, where are the instructions for this?

I am connected to the PC.

I launch twinmotion

For some reason Steam tries to take over

If I pull up a menu in the head set it says twinmotion is running

However its a black screen nothing else

I have set it to Direct X11, same outcome

Hi,

First and foremost, please make sure to allow apps from unknown sources:

Go to Oculus App > Settings > General > Allow apps from unknown sources

Secondly, enable Oculus Link in the Quest and pressing VR button mode, you should get an icon of TM in the oculus bar.

Sadly none of this works. All I can do is use it on the virtual desktop, which I don't think is the intention. The TM logo in the bar when clicked just gives me a black screen inside the head set.

Hi Gareth. These are the steps I take to get it to work (though I'm having some crashing issues at the moment) and it's worked consistently for me.

Prior to opening Twinmotion, start up the Quest 2 and start Link or AirLink (you need to activate AirLink in the settings if thats what you want to use). Connect to your desktop computer when prompted. Once you've connected to your computer dont do anything else (i.e. don't click on the Twinmotion icon in the bar)

Take the headset off. Then, on your desktop launch the Twinmotion file. Click on the Eye icon >VR> 'Start VR'. If when you click on VR it says 'VR Headset (F10)' you haven't done the stap above first.

If you are connected properly you should be able to put the headset on and you will be in VR mode.

Hope this helps and I'm happy to answer any questions if you need any further clarification.

Oh my god, I feel like such a plank, I did not know to click the eye symbol, thankyou!

After all that its more of a curiouso than a serious tool, but fun none the less

Being new to both Oculus and Twinmotion it took some clicking around for me to. I've also just now overcome my crashing issue by switching the Skydome off (just in case you come across the same issue).
