Hi, just wanted to reach out and ask if anyone could help me troubleshoot my attempt to package my UE 4.27 project for standalone Oculus Quest.
I have tried searching tutorials and error messages on this forum and elsewhere online, but I am stuck. I initially tried to build the project in UE 5.5 because I had read that it had surpassed 4.27 for VR development, but when I ran into problems and couldn’t figure out standalone packaging, I transferred everything over to 4.2,7 which I had used previously for some PCVR projects. after fixing several errors I think my main problem is the oculus failed login? I have set up my oculus developer hub profile and have everything verifed on it, I am unsure what the error means by “make sure Oculus is running.” do they mean the developer hub? oculus link? That my headset is attached to the computer and on? or something else? further reading online has made me realize just how nightmarish the packaging for quest is on on unreal so if I cant get this figured out I guess I will have to learn unity and transfer everything over but I really dont want to do that…
all the videos I have watched on packaging for quest in unreal the packaging just works from the start and they never discuss how to fix any errors you might encounter.
