I’m having an issue with river and ocean water bodies in water system, with the ocean placed in the level the edges of the river becomes jagged:
But when the ocean is deleted the river becomes normal:
Someone has some idea why that is happening.
Water system is just a bit buggy.
Sometimes the tiles it generates are jagged because it’s working off a relatively low resolution render target. Other times it seems the noise settings on heightmap blending/blurring are just fighting each other.
I have one test map where the reverse happens, and it’s fine with a river + ocean, but deleting the ocean makes the river jagged.
Check that when you add the ocean the overall leve is still squared.
People report similar issues (or disappearing of rivers) when the overall map isn’t perfectly square.
