Hello!
I am just starting out so my knowledge is very limited.
So I am building in blueprint. And I will use simulation to ensure that things are placed right and sized correctly. But every time I end simulation, any object I recently placed will disappear. And I can’t click on it or interact with it, even if I know where it is. To get it back I have to find it in the Item Label menu, click on that, move it a block, and then undo. And then magically it reappears.
The problem, is it will do this with walls, floors, stairs, it was even a whole hallway and room one time.
This is incredibly frustrating. What am I doing wrong and/or how do I fix or stop this?
Thanks.
Ok update. It is getting worse. Now I can’t find objects in the Label menu that have disappeared. I tried pinning things and that worked for a little bit. But now things are just seemingly deleting them self’s. I would really like some help please…
Hey there @The27thman! Are you possibly making edits during simulation? If so they do not save normally, as it resets every time you end play in editor. However if you want to retain their changes, there is a way to do that.
Keep Simulation Changes | Unreal Engine Documentation.
Although, I am concerned about some things changing outside of PIE, if the sim issue was not the case, could you replicate it and show off the issue?
Are you working from an editor map like minimal_default?
