Object doesn't show in Twinmotion after imported from SketchUp.

Hello,

I have been using Twinmotion for a couple of days now but i Have a problem that I can’t fix.

I imported SketchUp to Twinmotion and my model has a curved “wall” as an interior that goes over the actual wall. and it is supposed to have a black fabric attached behind the curved wall so I drew it on SketchUp but when imported to Twinmotion the supposed black fabric doesn’t appear.

At first I thought the reason was because I drew the fabric as just one surface so I thickened it a bit and imported again but it didn’t show. The black fabric is a really necessary item. Can someone please help me. Thank you.

Below are the files of both SketchUp and Twinmotion.

In Twinmotion the model below the base point is the newly imported model.

Edit: I checked it again and I can actually see it but only from the back.

It's not easy to diagnose because your TM file is missing material texture files - but I think it's because your surface is not 2 sided.

Here's the solution;

  1. position your camera behind the screen and select the screen with the material picker...
  2. scroll down to Misc and check "2 sided" (it looks like your material is "_suede_blue_1", which I don't have - so I applied Bronze and it now shows up through the gaps from the front.

Did you try clicking on Two Sided in the material detail panel in TM ? It sounds like that may be your issue. You can check your Sketchup Model by changing the model style to see if any of the faces are reversed which would cause a face not to be seen from the correct side in TM and flip them. Or just click the Two Sided in TM.

After countless hours spending trying to find the solution for the face not being shown on one side but being visible on the other side, this solution that you stated above helped me fix my problem. thank you @Adigitata
