As I saw on this thread (https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?53735-NVIDIA-GameWorks-Integration) UE4 hairworks integration is coming soon, so my question is can blender be used to do it ? The Nvidia Previewer requires an APX or an APB file and I think it only works with the commercial plugin Shave and a Haircut for Autodesk 3d software. Can those files be generated using an open source tool or blender plugin to get the same results ? If not, can the plugins work on Maya LT 2015 ? I tried and it wouldn’t install it because it only detects Maya 2015. Is there any free or low cost solution ?
I’ve started work on an exporter for Blender. Details on this thread: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?90629-HairWorks-Exporter-For-Blender&p=416017#post416017
