nVidia 1080 graphics card issue

I have an nVidia 1080 GTX graphics card running in a Falcon Northwest Tiki PC. My project is cinematic.

In Unreal engine 5.0.3 and 5.1 the screen goes crazy. No menus can be selected and all I get a duplications of the main window- or just a black screen.

Most likely I have made my production too heavy for the load and I need to reset all the settings for Unreal Engine, do away with ambient occlusion, ray-tracing, lumen and any other compute intense options. How can I do this when I can’t get access to the preferences? I have installed 5.0.3 and 5.1 multiple times but to not avail.

Perhaps there is a way in which I can eliminate geometry from the project without being able to access the UE5 interface?

Presently the only option I have is to start the project all over again, but that would mean months of lost work.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d be very pleased to try them out.

Reset all 3D options to defaults in the Nvidia control panel.

Do an editor interface reset

In the main editor window:

Window → Load layout → Default editor layout

Also: revert to the studio drivers ( don’t use game ready )
