NPC can't use Katanas ?

I use the NPC spawner and NPC Character Definition and gave Katanas to them but they can’t use them, unlike sword, bows and hammer. Does anyone know why ?

Hello, hope this solves your question, In order for an NPC to use a weapon it needs to have the Guard tag, as you mentioned the sword and bows are usable because they have the guard tag.

Whereas the kinetic blade has no such tag.

And there’s no way to add tags to them ?

As far as I’m aware no the tags are added by epic, usually when a npc is able to correctly use the item
