Not allowed to change UMG animation playback length

I tried three different ways, what am I missing?

The UMG animation timeline defaults to keeping the playback range based on the bounds of all your sections. You can turn this off here:

(Other sequence timelines, like the level sequence timeline defaults it to off)

Thank you!

That made me figure out that there’s a huge, green blob behind all the keyframes… what is that?

Oh, and I hope I didn’t discover a bug just now… first the keyframes turn grey… then they disappear alltogether, even though I moved the mouse to the right…

This is all as designed. The green region is what we call a section. Keyframes belong to a section and sections belong to a track. A section has a start and an end that are independent from the keyframes, so that’s why you’re able to drag the end and essentially hide the keyframes. If you drag the end back out again, the keyframes will appear. Evaluation of the track is cropped to the section, so keyframes that are hidden by the section bounds are not evaluated. Depending on the type of track, you can create multiple sections and blend between them. You can also create an infinite section by toggling the section start/end frames in the right click menu of the section.

Hope that helps.
