First of all, a big thumbs up for the quality and speed RC delivers! And I really hope you will/can recoup your investment and push this project even further! (even though the initial pricing is not practical for 3D Artist like me, as I intended to use for a personal heritage archive project)
The Beta was working fine at first, and I was able to load completed projects back no problem.
Approaching Beta trail end before 31st Jan, I have experience projects not being able to save beyond first alignment of images. I save projects on completion on each stage (align, calculate model, colorize, etc), but next time when I loaded the project, all I get was the first align stage. All additional work being done on it was lost (ground plane alignment, reconstruction region, etc). Thinking it may have to do with the random bug for license, so I uninstall the Beta and Install the new demo, but the same issue repeats.
Also experience a prolonged idling with a 16 MP, 909 images (RAW) project. During meshing stage, when usage of my 40Gb RAM peaked (on Win7 workstation), it apperas to disk swap, but minimal processing activities (for hours), so I terminated the process (and to my surprise and delight, it didn’t crash!). It will be useful to have some warning when RAM runs out.
The only setting change I’ve made was the Navigation style (to Autodesk), and Cache Location (to Project folder). The strange thing is, older projects still loads with no issues. Only newer projects have that issue (same on Beta and Demo), and I can’t tell when it started.
