[NOT A BUG] Unable to really set new orientation

Even though I set “Define ground plane” and orientate my model (which is 90 degrees inverted) correctly, it still snaps back to the faulty rotation when I click “Reset Ground”.

I’m looking for a way to define the ground plane once and for all.

I think that’s what “Define ground plane” should do.

alice, this is not a bug. I remember discussing this issue with you before.

If, then make it a feature request (if that wasn’t where we disussed it).

I’m not sure if you’re correct, that’s why I’m posting it as a bug report.

Because I think it should work while you say it’s not a bug but a feature.

Hello Alice,

it is a desired behaviour, you can manually adjust the position and orientation of the scene by ‘Define ground plane’ or you can reset it to the original state by ‘Reset ground’.

And how could I permanently change the rotation / position of my model when RC messed it up (for example rotate by 90 degrees)?

It happens most often when I add control points.

The control points match perfectly, no exclamation mark, and RC creates a single model, but the one part which would be disconnected without the control points is rotated 90 degrees (almost always), so RC rotates the entire single model.
