When I create several orthophotos, it often happens that at some point the automatic numbering gets confused and starts repeating already existing numbers. It might have something to do with deleting orthophotos before creating the ones with the problematic number. This has always been the case but I only now decided to report it.
Hello Gӧtz,
is it perhaps that you closed your project and opened again? In such case, RC starts the numbering according to the number of existing ortho-projections, e.g. if there are 2 ortho-projections already created, then new orthoprojection is created with number 3.
The same principle applies when creating new models.
Ah interesting. Maybe also when just switching models?
I suspected something alongt this line but it never matches, meaning when I have e.g. 7 orthos, it starts with 12 or so…
Might I suggest that this be subject to revision? I think it might be more intuitive if a number that has once been attributed would not be repeated.
Could you maybe trace the steps you made (change of the component, model, project, closing and reopening the project) when the numbering does not behave as it should? It would be very helpful so that I can reproduce it and find out the source of the problem. I will also try to test it by simulating different cases.
Thank you also for your suggestions, I will forward it for dicussion.
Just tried a bit but it behaved exactly like you explainend.
Maybe I got confused because I wasn’t aware of the way it is supposed to work…
I think this has been changed to a non-repetitive numbering system in the currentversion, right?
If so, then thank you!
