[NOT A BUG] New control point is created for no reason

I have “point 0” selected, and I’m on “component 1”
Now I click “component 5”.
I click on one its images.
I want to cycle through the images.
Therefore I need to give focus to the 2D window.
I can’t because I first need to disable the “Control Points” button.
I disable the control points button, and I click the 2D view.
Now I enable the Control Points button again.
Now I cycle through the images using the left / right cursor.
I click in the image to draw “point 0”.
RC creates the new control point “point 1”.

Why?
This is highly frustrating.
How should I do this?

Hello Alice,

in the step number 3, once you click on the image in the 1D view, the “point 0” is automatically deselected. Therefore once you place a point on an image, it will create a new control point because none of the control points is selected.

You can also Drag and Drop control point from 1D view to 2D view and place it on an image even without the Control points tool turned on or Drag a control point from one image and drop it to another image.
