Normal - UEFN - New light settings are overly complicated

So I 've been toying with the new Day Sequence Device and Environment Light Rig and even though I like the customization options, I feel there are settings that are replicated 4 times if you use both of them, while other settings are completely missing from Day Sequence Device (mainly control over ambient shadows).

Environment light rig has the same options 3 times (post processing)

while there are a ton of settings that simply do nothing, making the entire process very hard to comprehend and remember what you changed and what actually does something substantial in the lighting settings.

I feel it needs to be simplified (or sorted into normal and advanced settings) a little, so we can at least remember what affects what.

Oh, and fog settings from the env light rig override day sequence device, while the opposite happens for the rest (very confusing because there isn’t a toggle button on most of these and you cant delete them as components).

Lastly, what’s with UE and weird technical terms? How am I supposed to remember what Raleigh scattering is and what it means? Was it invented in Raleigh and has something to do with it? The name doesn’t imply its functionality and when in a project a programmer doesn’t name their functions based on what they do, I tend to complain.

Lastly, I couldn’t figure out how to set my own sky cubemap (which is one of the most important settings).

TLTR add and tidy up a couple more settings to the day sequence device (including lumen controls, cloud control, ambient shadow controls) and let the environment rig be for advanced users only.

The Day Sequence Device and Environment Light Rig are meant to be used in separate scenarios (documentation is in the progress for these)

The Day Sequence Device is useful when you want to take advantage of the day/night cycle in Fortnite.

Environment Light Rig, is primarily designed to setup lighting when you don’t want to rely on day/night cycle and you rather have a static light setup that does not change over a cycle.

In summary, both devices are not ideally used together and they are designed to serve different use cases.

I see, but some settings are identical to both, with Day sequencer device having them more simplified. It might be the reason the game is having a hard time with performance so I might remove it and test only with env light rig.
