Wertandrew and I were wondering in the Discord, could Epic provide creators with guidelines about which materials are most expensive or lightweight, and how to test how heavy a particular material is? In Office Hours, Andreas mentioned that translucent materials are more expensive than opaque, so more information like that would be useful. The wacky animated materials demonstrated during office hours seem like they might be expensive too.
Materials optimization info about UE5 is probably similar, so if anyone has found a good source for that I’d love to see it. I’ll look for one myself too.
