creat new dummy project, and then you check wether that is there in launcher, and then open your project directly from the folder and then save it again then open launcher and you will see your project there
I know this is an old post but like to say thank you so much this was the first thing to solve my issue after building a new pc and trying to get to load on an external drive very helpful!!
Hi I found a fix that actually worked for me for anyone still having this issue. In your vault under the library tab. Look for content that says create project not add project. Create that project in the directory where your other projects are and Epic will automatically detect the other projects. It can be literally any project. Hope this helps
For UE5 is in C:\Users\b2220\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini
For my case, I need to add:
CreatedProjectPaths=D:/UE5_Projects
Thanks for the suggestion, this didn’t work for me. Projects still not showing up. Mine are in the projects folder that Unreal is aware of, but one level deeper in the folder structure eg. Projects/AnotherFolder/MyProject.uproject and UE 5.
One thing to add is you have to have the launcher totally closed when you edit the ini or it will overwrite your changes. Even with this my projects are not appearing so I have submitted it as a bug.
