No screensaver/monitor sleep

Hello. Epic Games Launcher prevents screensaver/monitor sleep. After closing the app, everything is fine. Any tips? Best.

It would be helpful to know your current OS. Since Windows 10 & 11 have different methods about screen functionality.

Hi there. Fresh install of Win 11 22h2. New to Epic world, so, no way to tell if it was working before. Thanks in advance.

The screensaver is governed by the power settings of the system. If a Windows update or third-party software messes with the Power settings, the screensaver might not work right. You can reset the Power settings to default as follows: Press Win+R to open the Run window and type the command powercfg.

Although I am curious why you want the monitor to sleep since newer monitors usually do not receive screen burn like the old days. Wanting your screen saver I can understand. Lastly I will say windows11 does have a lot of issues; beyond what I mentioned it may not be possible at this time to prevent that. Unless someone out there knows more on the subject.

There is one possibility that running UE5 in compatibility mode with the older Ver=Windows10 may allow the normal functions. Although I am not entirely sure that would fix your issue; worth a try though.

Hello. Thanks for the effort, but no, this is an issue with the launcher app. Already uninstalled and all good. Have a nice weekend.
