No OverLap for Terrain in version 4.12... Best Workaround?

I heard there was a bug with **no overlap events for terrain **in version 4.12 that was fixed in next version…

but Im about to launch so cannot upgrade now

Before I put a bunch of boxes with “not visible” or not rendered under my terrain - was wondering if theres a better workaround to get some sort of overlapping events to work for my projectiles, etc. (otherwise they just go through the terrain)
