I am using Unreal Engine 4.25 and a BlackMagic Decklink Duo 2 card. Using the SDI input, I am trying to get a live videofeed into UE4.
When pressing “Request Play Media” in Media Bundle the output log outputs:
LogBlackmagicMedia: Error: The video format changed for ‘blackmagicdesign://device1/single0’. *
The format in the setup is correct, so I don’t know where the change happens.
Can you post any lines from the log that come just before the error line? Usually there are a couple additional “LogBlackmagicMedia” lines before the error line that provide more information about the error itself.
In the MediaBundle->MediaSource->Video, look for a setting labeled Color Format and try toggling that to 10bit YUV. The default is 8bit YUV, but I think the card will automatically switch to 10bit for some camera sources and you’ll need to manually change this setting in the Media Bundle to accommodate the extra dynamic range.

same issue here. I have a sony cinecamera which connect with 1080p25 to blackmagic device. works with 4.24 w/ extern plugin. not working with 4.25 w/ engine’s plugin.
another small camera with 1080i50, works both versions.
I have an Arri Alexa XT which I never got to work with UE. The other camera is a RED Dragon Epic-S35, which worked fine, but suddenly now is returning the same message, and do not give any input to UE.
when I select " Reopen source on Error" in media source bundle setting. the image will show, but it is choppy, also lots of error log will appear.

Same Problem here, been banging my head on this for last 4 days, it was working fine when the project was setup in 4.25, now its throwing this frustrating error in 4.25.3, 8bit, 10bit nothing works!
Found a solution!
There has to be a bug in Desktop Video 11.6 from Blackmaic. I uinstalled it and installed Desktop Video 11.5.1. Both my cameras and monitor now works in Unreal Engine 4.25.3
Any one found solution for 12.8 blackmagic build? I tried two cameras both say error log: Could not find the device 0. I can see feed in OBS and other apps but not UE5.
Just tested it with 12.8 and a Decklink 4K Pro. I did however had to set the Blackmagic Source configuration manually instead of auto (in my case 1080p5994) otherwise I get the same error. I probably never noticed before as almost never use auto settings from BM Decklink in UE5.
