In the 5.4 version of Unreal Egnine, everything was fine for me, I had a metahuman BP, but I switched to version 5.5, created a new person in metahuman, and when it was added to UE 5.5, I don’t have a human BP. Look at the screenshot. How to manage it now? What to do?
Hey there @Stop-TussiN! Welcome back to the community! Did you delete the old version of the BP before you imported the new version? It’s possible the asset handler tried to overwrite it and caused issues. Does this occur on clean/fresh projects or other Metahumans?
No, I created completely new metahumans and added them to the 5.5 version of the project
Interesting! May I know your OS? As testing on Windows 10 and 11 the metahumans are all coming with their BPs, the issue could be related to the previous manifest issues.

I deleted all metahumans in Ue 5.5 and uploaded again = still the same.
Are there any errors being reported in the console? When you download the MH, can you find it’s files in it’s stored location? Does the BP.uasset
appear there? Conversely, is the BP.uasset
file visible in the file structure of the project where it should be?
Im having the same issue. I have looked in the folder, BP.uasset does not appear.
Hey there @DontePictures! Welcome back to the community! Just to get a handle on your situation as well, a couple questions!
Are all Metahumans both defaults and custom failing to import?
Are there any errors in engine?
Does the window then show that it’s been added to the project after it fails?
You mentioned the uasset
wasn’t there, is that true for both in project and the vault location?
It is weird. I work from my desk top and lap top. On the lap top, it does not import the Metahuman BP, it brings all of the other folders but does not create a BP to add to your project. On my desk top it does bring in the BP, but in Quixel Bridge out of my 21 metahumans I created It only shows 2 of them in color and the rest are greyed out. It is saying they need to me updated from legacy in MHC. So I go to MCH and it gives me the option to upgrade the metahuman. So, I do and they are still greyed out. Need a little help!
OK…so now the greyed out Metahumans are accessible. I do not know what I did. Still having issues with my laptop not wanting to add the BP to the metahuman folder upon import. It also now gives me an error and will not open 5.5.1 saying there is a plugin that needs to be disabled called GraphNUnreal Plugin. How can I disable it if it does not even let the program open.
