Just had two nVidia Shield Tablets delivered to our office today, we tried to port one of our (very simple) games based around the premise of two lights (that cast shadows, that parts important) chasing each other, only to find that a huge portion of the visual effects we’re not displaying. As it turns out the Mobile builder doesn’t bother with any kind of Dynamic Lights (we have two dynamic point lights for the two pawns in the game), any GPU Particles and no Refraction. Our game kind of pivots on all three and we we’re hoping to make an Android port just for S&G™.
Is this really a thing or are we not setting things up properly? I thought Unreal was meant to be showcasing the power of the Tegra chipset but a plan to support these things on the Trello is either non-existent or very very far down the backlog. Any updates or news on when feature support will be improved?
