Basically Title, I have been struggling in 5.5 to get dynamic meshes to work as writers for RVTs, but to no avail. Naturally, i checked future releases on the roadmap page to see if I could find any mention of the functionality being added, and nope, nothing.
I installed a new version of unreal (5.7) to use as a sandbox to edit the source code as found in this github page: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/49d6b15df034ccc2e6298a9a59d138ef9b7608ad
When i went to edit the files, however, I found that these modifications were already made and RVTs with dynamic meshes work just fine in 5.7.
I’m pretty new to unreal and game development, so if there are channels for this scale of change that I should be looking in in the future, i would love to learn about them.
The main reason I’m making this post though is so that somewhere on the internet, there is a dude talking about this change being made.
