No Audio Playback in Sequencer during Recording with Take Recorder

I think there is a bug/problem in UE 5.3 with audio playback in Sequencer when recording into an existing Level Sequence containing an audio clip with Take Recorder. The audio is only played back when I play the sequence and not during recording with Take Recorder.

I think it is a problem with focus of the Sequencer window, because as soon as you click on any part of the Sequencer window or open a dropdown menu in the sequencer, the audio is played back. In 5.2, everything works as expeced.

Has anyone the same issues and/or a workaround in 5.3? Thanks.

Thanks for reporting this. It is a bug in 5.3 that we’ve since fixed for the next release (I’ve double checked now that it doesn’t occur anymore). Unfortunately I can’t think of an existing workaround at the moment.

Yeah, sorry about that. In case, the github commit for this fix is: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/592b1b515174fffbca1e3793ed7b38e8b4f358ea

Hi Max. I compiled 5.3.2 release branch from source and added this one fix. Unfortunately, It didn’t solve the problem. Still no audio playback of existing audio tracks which are already in the level sequencen whe recording to to this existing level sequence.

Hi Max. Just compiled UE 5.4 from source (current main branch) and the audio files plays correctly during recording. So maybe it was the a combination of different commits that fixed the problem. Anyway, looking forward for 5.4 then. Thanks.

Ok thanks for the update. Yeah, I thought it was that changelist, but perhaps it was something else. If I can determine the actual change that fixes this, I’ll update here.
