No AO/Contact shadows when Ray tracing

Hi all! I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but when using raytracing AO, I’m not getting any contact shadows. The shadows from the direct light work great, but there is not AO response at all. Any suggestions?

here was something strange about this screenshot, as there are primary shadows on lamp post, but there are no shadows from the rubbish bin (?). If the light was set up to cast shadows, I don’t see how this isn’t casting a shadow.

I know it’s a silly question, but did you enable “Visible in Ray Tracing” on the static mesh?

In terms of RTAO - did you try increasing the number of samples per pixel more than 1?
