Niagara system won't show in editor / sequencer unless opening the asset in the niagara editor

I have a Niagara emitter which will not show in the editor / a rendered sequence unless I open the asset in the Niagara System editor. Once I click edit on the asset and the Niagara editor opens, the particles show / behave as they should.

Other emitters work fine in the editor / sequencer without needing to edit them.

I’m using Unreal 5.0.3.

Would greatly appreciate a suggestion for debugging this, thanks.

Hey, did you find the fix in the end ? I have the same issue

Sorry for the late response. We didn’t find a solution to the problem and just worked around it by opening the Niagara asset in the editor prior to rendering our sequences.

I’m Getting this issue now

I’m leaving this here in case this is useful to someone, but I deleted my derived cache to save some space since I had old stuff in there. When I re-opened my project, my niagara system were not visible anymore in editor, but visible in the niagara editor and in play mode. the issue camed from my map and the built data. Just reload your map and it will fix the issue with the niagara system not spawning!
