In 5.5 Niagara Emitters had an option in the right-click menu for “Emitter Mode” which allowed you to covert between Standard and Lightweight. In 5.6 this appears to have gone from the menu. Does anyone know if this is intentional, or a bug? Is it likely to return?

That’s strange, the option is indeed gone in 5.6, and there’s no mention in the changelog regarding this modification.
Checking around the community, there’s no confirmation about the change being intentional (possibly a change in favor of a new future workflow, or accidental (in which case, a hotfixl would be deployed soon).
In the meantime, please use the fuctionality to create Lightweight emitters, detailed in the UE documentation below:
