Dear Unreal developers,
Sometimes we use Niagara Systems to make UI elements (like “in world” indicators, things like that…) but the UI elements that are made with UMG are independent from time dilation, and Niagara systems are not. It makes it near impossible to synchronize them, etc. I know there are ways around it, but it is tedious and can never be “perfect”…
It would be awesome if we could just flag Niagara Systems to ignore time dilation (like we can do with Timelines, for example, which is great).
Hope this can be implemented someday. Thank you for the tech and for reading!
PS. Ok, I nearly deleted this post because I just realised you can set a custom time dilation parameter on a Niagara System! But still, it would be great if this was done at a lower level in the Engine so we can fire and forget Niagara Systems without having to update them on tick if we want them to run at a different rate from Global Time Dilation.
