hello, having trouble with Niagara cache in sequencer. after making a lifecycle track and selecting cache it crashes UE instantly on pressing record.
any advice would be most welcome. apologies in advance for being on Mac M2 (hangs head in shame) but it is at least a robust system and generally most things seem to run ok. not this though… why??! help, tips please would be greatly appreciated
It’s old, but I’ll add my fifteen cents. I noticed that caching of particles consume a lot of disk space. My Niagara fluid sim cache of 100 frames took ~1.5 Gb of disk space. Just make sure you have enough space…
I just reduced the resolution and framerate. I’m new at game development and not sure about how to properly use the cached niagara fluids. In my case any cached animation have freezes in result. It’s much smoother when I just use fluids with determinism and defined seed.
