The new VM is easier to extend with new language features, and it executes Verse code more efficiently — 5x faster on the benchmark suite. It also unlocks a sampling profiler and debugger, which follow it rather than ship with it.
There’s no card on the verse profiler. Unreal Insights shipped, but when will the “follow up” actually happen, it’s no where to be found in the roadmap.
Love the new roadmap, but missing a scheduled releases section just like the Trello one had.
Sure would be nice if we could trigger the verse compiler without UEFN running and being signed in constantly.
