New to Unreal

Hi all I’m completely new to Unreal engine I have made several simple 2D games and many even more simple 3D games. I was wondering what the best place to start is as far as tutorials are concerned. May I add…I do not plan to make a fan remake of any game nor some super detailed-full out-AAA game I just want to learn the basics of Unreal Engine 4  I would really appreciate any advice or links or whatnot to help me get started…thx in advance

Unreal Engine’s official youtube channel is where I started.

Best thing I found was to just watch the basic tutorials on youtube (official ones).

Then just go nuts trying out random things in the engine, something challenging. Puzzle game, replicate a mechanic from a game (mine are still in the works). If you get stuck then go back and delve into the deeper tutorials (again official).

Thanks! I’ll check those out for sure.

I made a similar thread andthere are some tutorials linked in it that you might like.

Also, in the UE4 if you click the “Unreal Engine” tab, then click the “Learn” tab, there is a variety of useful tools for learning UE4, including:

-“Getting Started with Unreal”
-“UE4 for Unity developers”
-“Example Game Projects”
-“Gameplay Concept Examples”

I intend to spend a fair amount of time poking through those to help me grasp some concepts and learn in general.

Sounds awesome, thanks!
